Broadside is clean and intact overall but has wrinkling throughout, a few horizontal creases, a few splits at edges along creases, and a tiny closed tear at bottom edge. A Very Go…od copy. This is a small broadside that doubles as a Wanted poster for Joe Quintan, charged with murder in Merced County, California. The broadside has no illustrations and only contains a brief amount of printed text. Excerpt from the broadside: "Joe Quintan--Nativity Mexican; age 26; height 5 feet 4 inches; weight 125 lbs; slender build; thin features; rather high cheek bones; sallow complexion; black hair and eyes; smooth shaven. . Has a quick walk. . Was wearing brown colored coat, light colored shirt, blue overalls . Wears handkerchief in shape of a heart. . He has been working as a laborer on ranches; also as a cow puncher. Has worked on railroad as a section hand. He is a booze fighter. The above reward will be paid by the Board of Supervisors of Merced County for his arrest and detention until delivered to the Sheriff of the County. Write all information to me at my expense. S. C.
