Printed privately for subscribers only by Boni and Liveright in 1922. This is copy No. 461 of an edition limited to 1,050 numbered copies signed by George Moore, with only 1,000 offered for sale. Signed by Moore on the limitation page. Detailed Condition: Good condition. Original gray paper-covered boards with cream paper spine. Binding is heavily worn, particularly along the spine and joints. Spine covering is chipped, cracked, stained, and partially separated, with substantial loss and an old label or label residue obscuring the spine lettering. Corners and board edges show rubbing and wear. Text block remains housed within the boards but should be handled carefully. Deckled page edges are heavily roughened, with several leaves showing uneven opening and edge tears or losses in the margins. Interior pages show age toning, scattered spotting, and handling wear. Faint previous-owner writing or marks appear near the bottom of the title page. No dust jacket.
