Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. S. Miller (woodcuts) (illustrator). No Edition Stated. Circa latter part of 19th century. It was listed under, Instructive Books for Youthful Readers in the 1881 edition of The Christian Week. I believe it was first published in the early 1870's. Book has green cloth covered, bevel edged boards with gilt text and decorations on spine and front panel, all edges gilt. Book has scuffed and worn extremities with shelf wear, gauze visible at both hinges, foxing throughout. Book is square with no loose pp. Frontis: " ' Yonder is the child herself carying in a jug of water from the well,' said Frank to himself." - p.33. Preface by author. Book is final in the trilogy preceeded by ' Ned Franks ' and ' Sheer Off ' and follows the same protagonist. 255 pp. Bookseller's Inventory # 154446.
