Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Published in 1969 by Black Sparrow Press, The Days Run Away Like Wild Horses Over the Hills was the second Bukowski book published by Black Sparrow Press, the first being At Terror Street and Agony Way in 1968. This copy is a bit of a mystery, which is why I purchased it. It is signed, but is not numbered. I've seen that before, so no real mystery here. It's the next part that's more unusual. The color of the paper that is folded around the boards is a slightly different color than the paper used for the main production of the book. And instead of being part of the paper, the title and author are printed on a 4.5" x 7.5" sheet that has been affixed to the paper wrapped around he boards. The color of this paper matches the one used for the main production of the book, making it stand out against the color underneath. This copy is in Near Fine-plus condition with a couple of minor dots on the rear cover. For the signature, Bukowski used a nice bold red marker. File Box 1. Signed by Author(s).
