Inscribed on the title page by the Author to a fellow author: To Mike Connolly/ George Fraser? Flashman and the Tiger (London: Harper Collins 1999). First UK Edition. A very fine copy in like D/W. Signed on the title page by the Author as ?George M Fraser? Flashman on the March (London: Harper Collins 2005). First UK Edition. A very fine copy in like D/W. Signed on the title page by the Author as ?George M Fraser? I cannot help but think what an excellent long term investment this signed set of books is likely to be. In the latter part of his life Mr Fraser did virtually no signings whatsoever and finding signed copies of some of the early and mid-range titles has now become very difficult. Two letters from George Macdonald Fraser are enclosed to fellow author, Dennis Wheatley relating to Wheatley's review of "Flashman" in the Glasgow Herald. The first is a 9-line typed letter from Fraser's Glasgow address and dated May 13, 1969: "Dear Mr Wheatley, It's a magnificent review, and I can't thank you adequately for it. There is nothing that I can imagine that could give the book a better send-off than this, and quite apart from that, it is a tremendous personal satisfaction to know that you enjoyed it. There can't be any higher praise than that. Thank you once again, very much, for what you have written, and. Signed by Author.
