Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. A Sir Henry Merrivale mystery by John Dickson Carr, writing as Carter Dickson. The lavender book color has faded to grey on the spine but the lettering is clear. There is some rubbing to the lower third of the spine and a small crease to the lower front corner.

Original Cloth. Condition: Good. First Edition. Boards have bumping to the spine and to the corners with quite heavy fraying at the bottom corners of the front and rear panels. There is some discolouration and light spotting to the spine and a surface crease to the front panel. Page edges are quite heavily browned. Endpapers are browned with a previous owner's stamp and a date in pen to the front free endpaper and some light marking to the rear endpapers. Pages are lightly browned and there is a slight odour to the book, probably form the home of a smoker, but they are otherwise clean and unmarked. No jacket. First printing .…
