Loosely inserted a short signed letter by the author to the poet Barry Cole. Neat name on front endpaper: 'Barry Cole.' Original publisher's binding in terracotta with fresh gilt lettering on spine and a small recessed embossed gilt phoenix. Jacket design by Enid Marx shows a repeat pattern in blue on white of phoenix rising. Barry Cole (1936Ð2014) was a British poet. Following the Royal Air Force (1955-1957) he became a reporter with Reuters news agency, London (1965Ð70) and senior editor at the Central Office of Information (1974Ð94.) He was Northern Arts Fellow at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Durham University (1970Ð72.) Arnold Rattenbury (1921-2007) was a poet and exhibition designer. Very good indeed in very good tanned dust jacket. Signedes.
