First edition. 8vo. Modern blue paper-covered boards, interior very slightly foxed, overall very good. ii, 5-32pp (possibly lacking half-title, see ESTC record). Boston, Pr. by Tho. Fleet, John Caldwell was a Presbyterian minister from Blandford, Massachusetts. He was a prominent anti-revivalist figure and this sermon, warning against false prophets, was surely directed as an attack on the preachers of the Great Awakening. Only 8 copies in WorldCat, none of which are in Europe.
