No binding. Condition: Near fine. A trade sampler of eight marbles offered by the Vermont Marble Company, each one with a number on the bottom which corresponds to a printed key. The key explains the geological properties of the marbles and their best applications, including those famously furnished by the Company, like the NBC Building in New York and the Supreme Court Building. At the flip side of the key is a map of Vermont on which are marked the various quarries, as well as the Vermont Marble Exhibit, later to become the Vermont Marble Museum. An impressively tactile catalog, held in a wooden box with a printed label on sliding lid. Horizontal crease to key, box label somewhat chipped, else near fine.
