Hardcover. New [second] Impression. Brown cloth, gilt letters and decoration on spine and front cover, 160 pp., 34 color plates with titled tissue guards, BW illus. Richard Wagner's classic tale, translated by Margaret Armour and illustrated by English artist Arthur Rackham (1867-1939). Not the prettiest book on the shelf, but Rackham's color plates are still vivid and compelling. Rare. F (Moderate wear and soiling to binding; hinges are loose; end pages are substantially foxed; most text pages are tanned; color plates are clean and vivid however.).
