First Edition
Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. 8 3/4" w. by 7" h. 13 pages. The first book of poetry by Judith Copithorne (1939-2025), a Canadian concrete and visual poet from Vancouver. Copithorne was affiliated with the "Downtown Poets" in the 1960s, a group of experimental poets in Vancouver, which also included bill bissett. In total, Copithorne published over 40 books, chapbooks, and other materials. This copy of Returning has a Japanese style stab binding with covers of thick, textured paper, which has almost a cork-like quality. There is some slight fading to the front cover, and more significant fading on the back cover. There is also some bumping to the corners. The pages are of thick, orange card stock, and internally there is some slight staining to some of the page edges, but nothing that interferes with the text.
