A scarce founding document of the Jewish Young Fraternalists (in this document simply referred to as the Young Fraternalists), the youth division of the International Workers Order (IWO) / Jewish People's Fraternal Order (JPFO), a fraternal society that existed from 1930-1954. It was closely aligned with the Communist Party USA. The JYF's first national convention was held in Cleveland from Nov. 21-24, 1940 where resolutions were passed on world peace, the work of Young Fraternalists among Negro youth, national groups - including the eradication of anti-Semitism, civil liberties, junior work, support for the American Youth Congress, China, trade unions, etc. This document includes these full resolutions, the preamble and constitution of the Young Fraternalists, a report of the Nominations Committee, which includes a list of proposed nominees, and a report of the Credentials Committee. Side-stapled 11" x 8 ½" sheets mimeographed on rectos only, 14 p. Rear sheet detached from the bottom staple, but still secured to the top one. Not found by us in WorldCat, although a copy may exist in broader IWO/JPFO collections.
