Pastedowns, free endpapers, title page, and first few pages toned and stained, but text clean. Binding tight.

Polished Calf. Condition: Very Good -. First Edition. Volume 3 only. Red leather label at spine with gilt title. Long closed tear along spine, left edge front cover. Spine ends and edges rubbed, cover corners slightly worn. Slight scuffing to lower and right edge front cover, rear cover with rubbed edges and small black circular stain. Free endpapers, pastedowns, and title page toned with minor staining, text clean. Binding tight.

Rear clutch of (last 10 or so) pages have an old damp stain at top margin. Internally, mostly clean and white. Scattered, intermittent notation, e.g. pp. 3, 7, 9, 11, 20, 49, 50, 51, 67, (etc), 667, and 662 have an old notation, underlining. A fair reading copy in need of rebinding. This is an oversized or heavy book that requires additional postage for international delivery outside of Canada and the US.
