A very good full leather binding by Asprey. 5.0" x 3.0" x 0.75". pp.viii]/pp.120. Polished brown morocco with gilt filet border. Smooth spine with gilt decoration and gilt title: "French And Latin Quotations". Edges lightly rubbed and corners bumped. All page edges gilt. Inner gilt filet. Binder's stamp to verso of the base of the front board: "Asprey, 166 New Bond St. W." Pale brown marbled endpapers. No title-pages, date of publication from other books in matching binding. Light foxing and soiling to first leaves and last leaves, otherwise clean throughout. VG.

Wine Cold Cloth Gilt. Condition: Good. Bound in publisher's wine cold cloth, titles to spines in gilt, cream marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. Complete with small wooden book stand painted in brown & gold. Slight bumps to very tips, light foxing and toning to covers and endpapers, Top of spines on Atlas and French and Latin quotations are slightly damaged., Atlas clumsily opened, showing gutter at pp. in middle are loose. A very good, bright, set, in the box with minor abrasions to extremities, a couple of beads lost. A particularly attractive library reference set, unusually presented in the appealing original wooden stand.
