'The London Horrors' (Volume I) received nominations for the 2012 Bram Stoker and Shirley Jackson Awards. Its London setting was a favoured one for Fowler, who is best known for his 'London Quartet' (1988-93) and for the prolific 'Bryant and May' detective mystery series (1990-2022), which both take place in the city.
