Octavo, pictorial salmon wrappers printed in black. Advance copy (uncorrected proofs) of the first edition. John Marshall Cunningham (1915-2002) was American author of western fiction whose most famous work is "The Tin Star," a short story that appeared in COLLIER'S MAGAZINE in 1947. It was adapted into the film High Noon (1952) starring Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly. A fine copy. (#175278).
