This is an ex-library copy with light green boards and black lettering, yellow eps. Has the usual stamps, spine sticker, pocket but library mylar has been replaced with Brodart over the DJ. Spine ends soft, light edge wear, and there are 2 old tape marks on the boards. Pages are very clean, uncreased, no tears, writing or names. There may be the odd small mark. The DJ has a small chip on the bottom of front cover, a small split top of front cover, and a wrinkle and two scratches on top back cover. Unpaginated. Very collectible illustrator, Ardizzone. None of my books are ex-library, remainders or bce unless specified.

Andrew Murray lent his personal collection of books and prints etc. to the travelling exhibition by Middlesbrough Museum in 1982.

Contains 32 pp with monochrome and alternating single colour-wash illustrations throughout. Fine condition book in Very Good condition dust wrapper with one short closed tear to the top front gutter, not price clipped, $4.50. Dust wrapper protected. From the private library and estate of Edward Ardizzone and SIGNED by him to the front free end paper 'Edward Ardizzone | September 1972.' Member of the P.B.F.A. ARDIZZONE, Edward (1900-1979).
