Original proof wood engraving, second state. Printed on laid paper, signed by the artist in ink and numbered by him 16/100, an edition of which only the first 25 were signed. Image size 8.7 x 11 cm. Framed and glazed. Proof of a design, which in its first state had been used on the cover of Saint Bartholomew's Hospital Journal in 1938.
