Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Edition. This is a truly magnificent work in every way, covering the Mercedes-Benz versus Auto Union era of 1934-1939 with much first hand recollection by those who were there and whom the author luckily/wisely interviewed while they were still around to tell the tale (non of them are left nowadays) . 350 pages with an abundance of contemporary photos, many never previously seen, not just of the cars and the driver or even the races but of the speed records and the hillclimbs too. It is this total package of a time that happened, without embellishment or concealment of the underlying propaganda motives , that makes this a memorable masterpiece. Very good condition book and good jacket that's a little shelf worn at the top of the spine.
