    Original vintage travel map poster for The City of Quebec with historical notes drawn by S.H. Maw Toronto (Samuel Herbert Maw; 1881-1952) featuring a colourful pictorial map illustrated with coats of arms and historical buildings showing the streets and parks with details of notable people and places as well as events (for example: This shield was taken from the Saint Louis Gate by the English in the year 1759 & restored to the city by the citizens of the town of Hastings in 1926), ships on the River St Lawrence and the Canadian Pacific Railway lines on the side, the crests of Wolfe Frontenac Cartier and Champlain in the corners and title above, a book with information on Wolfe's Monument column by the military hospital on the left and compass point on the right, all framed by an ornate border. Published in Toronto by Alexander Litho Co., Ltd. Horizontal. Very good condition, folded as issued, browning, some bumps on top edge. Size: xcm.
