Condition: Very Good. _____Total of seven pre-printed forms with particulars in manuscript._____Each measures 17 x 9.75" and the stack has been quad folded for legal filing._____This represents the accounting of a claim to the city for feeding the population of the city jail during January 1917._____ A total of 243 inmates are listed by name, with number of meals served per day to each._____ One has given the interesting appellation "Slim Jim", five are obviously women._____The prisoners are listed by order in which they were booked in._____ Three were in for nearly the entire month._____ There were a maximum of two meals served per day, Many got only one meal so were apparently in and out once they sobered up, three served nearly the full month._____The summation shows 1417 meals at 11¢ served, for a total due of $155.87 due from the city's Police Fund._____The figures are attested to and signed at the bottom by the Chief of Police Robert Pontet._____The outermost panels when folded are lightly soiled._____.
