His book Principles of Physic reviewed the approaches to medicine at the time. BOOK DETAILS: This is a sammelband. Pearson's book is bound with Heads and Notes of a Course of Chemical Lectures London: Henry Reynell, 1806 8vo, 16 lvs + title page + iii/iv + pp 1-144 (of 220 pp called for). Also bound with Arranged Catalogues of the Articles of Food, Drink Seasoning and Medicine for the Use of Lecturers on Therapeutics and Materia Medica London: At the Oriental Press by Wilson and Co., 1801 8vo, title page + pp 1-78 + 2 bl.(complete) Cont. leather worn with morocco label. PROVENANCE: The book is signed by David Davies in a Wales town in 1873. David Davies (18 December 1818 to 20 July 1890) was a Welsh industrialist and Liberal politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1874 and 1886. This book was previously owned by Arthur C. Greenberg, who assembles a 1300 book collection of key books in the history of chemistry. RARITY: OCLC reports only one copy of Pearson's book in any library. Neville II p 282: Pearson's work extremely rare.
