Signed
Cloth. Condition: Good Plus. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good Not Clipped. Second Edition Revised. Illustrated. 175 pages. Written boldly in thick black fountain pen ink on front pastedown: "AUTOGRAPH COPY LAUNCELOT CRESSY SERVOS." Never have come across a copy signed that way before. Servos published the first edition in 1905. Here is the second edition, published thirty-three years later and now almost double the content. Has there been an instructional with a longer span between the first edition and its first revision? Interesting to note that this time period spans the end of the wood shaft era and the era of steel shafts. From the front DJ flap:"Mr. Servos has produced a volume worth more than its weight in gold to every golf enthusiast." Pastedown offset through endpapers; oddly, three lower page corners have been cut away (not affecting the text.) Unclipped dust jacket has slight loss at top of spine, protected in mylar. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Autographed By Author.
