The front free endpaper has a brief notation in pen and a previous owner's blindstamp. Else, the pages are clean and bright. In the dust jacket, with creasing and intermittent small closed and open tears to the edges. Volume One compares Western Occultism with the Eastern systems of yoga, examines the Tree of Life in detail and describes the practical application, along with the theory, of Qabalistic symbolism in the Western Esoteric Tradition. Volume Two provides the most encompassing analysis ever published of the twenty-two "Paths of Concealed Glory" that join the Tree of Life taking into account Hebrew letters, Astrological signs and Tarot trumps. A large section focuses solely on the Tarot, tracing the history of Tarot design and the various systems of correspondences with the Tree of Life. It sheds new light on the overlooked Lesser Arcana and the little understood function of the Tarot Aces and the sixteen Court Cards. Seventh printing of the Samuel Weiser one-volume edition.

Jacket is worn and creased on edges, sunned on spine, with small stain mid-spine, but text and images are clear, legible and bright. Cover is sunned on top and bottom edges, and lightly bumped at bottom of spine. Spine is shaken, but binding is secure. Top and outer edges of text-block are lightly foxed. Previous owner's ink signature on front end-paper. Inside is clean and unmarked.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Used hardcover set of two volumes MISSING ORIGINAL JACKETS. Otherwise, generally clean with some scuffing and wear due to shelflife. Volume 1 appears a little crushed in terms of the spine splaying outward, but does not seem to affect readability or strength of binding. BOTH volumes have previous bookplate, previous seller's sticker and a note written in pen on the inside of front board. Desspite these flaws, the volumes remain very readable and library ready; no writing to the text, page blocks are clean, and volumes sit straightly together.
