The second edition of this work, which is very scarce in all editions. Complete in four volumes.English Anglican clergyman and man of letters William Dodd, a controversial figure known as the "Macaroni Parson". In February 1777, he forged a bond for £4,200 in the name of his former pupil, the Earl of Chesterfield, to clear his debts. He was found guilty, and publicly hanged in the July of that year.First published in 1757 as "Discourses on the Miracles and Parables of our Blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ", in this work William Dodd discusses the life, parables and miracles of Jesus Christ.ESTC T148848With an index to the rear of volume IV.
