Condition: Good. Mezzotint. 24.5 x 18.7 cm. On old laid paper. Very rare. Jacob baron van Wassenaer heer van Obdam als jonge man. Op de achtergrond zijn paard, waarachter het gezicht van een vrouw.Hollstein Dutch 936-1(2).in 1687 Schenck married Gerard Valck's sister Agatha; 1688 he became citizen ('poorter') of Amsterdam as engraver free of charge, because Gerard Valck's father was 'poorter'; his addresses: at the Lauriersgracht, in 1694: at the southside of the Egelantiersgracht, in 1699/1700: at the Beurssluis (The New Hollstein); with Gerard Valck the first publisher of prints in Teyler's colour process from 1695 (The New Hollstein).
