Soft cover. Condition: As New. The design processes for the post-war Lincoln began in 1944 for their introduction in 1949. In 1952 the whole range was restyled with Lincoln receiving a new V8 giving 160 bhp. Their styling was reminiscent of the Mercury but it was clean and pure and the refinement was to a very high level. Over the following years the cars were steadily but unobtrusively improved, being voted the Safest car in America in 1955. The Continental of 1955 was introduced for the prestige market. This is a book of contemporary roasd and comparison tests, technical and specification data, new model introductions and consumer analysis. Profusely illustrated. Soft cover in as new condition.
