Hardcover. Condition: Good. This is a collection of ten books from the "WINES OF THE WORLD" pocket library published by the Wine and Food Society in London. Edited by Andre Simon. Each book contains a regional wine map, such as Bordeaux, Rhinegau & Rhinehesse, The Burgundy Vineyards, The Sherry District, Wine Districts of the Cape Province, and more. The following ten books are included: Burgundy (1950; x2), Sherry (1950; x2), Champagne (1949), Claret (1950), Port (1949), Sauternes (1950), Hock (1950), South Africa (1950). The books are smaller in size - each measures 6 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide. Condition: Occasional soiling/staining to the covers. Light wear to the top and bottom edges of the spine of "Burgundy". A tiny bit of the top paper layer has peeled away at the center of the front cover of "South Africa." All books are tightly bound with no cracks and no loose pages. All covers are firmly attached. The last page of one of the "Sherry" books has a small tear at the bottom edge of the last page. The title page of the other "Sherry" book has tanning to the title page and the last page. Light tanning to the pastedowns of one of the "Burgundy" books; the other "Burgundy" book has tanning to the title page and last page. "Sauternes" has tanning to the title page and last page. Tiny tear to the last page of "Hock." The vast majority of the pages are clean and white with no issues found. The lot is in overall Good+ condition.
