Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. Newton, Ruth E. (illustrator). Bobby suggests to Sue they should play store sometime. Soon all the kids are involved and operating stores or making purchases. 3 more companion titles in Let's Play series. RARE. I found no biographic information for author Edith Lowe, except she wrote several titles for Whitman. Ruth Eleanor Newton (1884?1972) was an American illustrator and doll designer (easy to believe looking at this artwork!). Hardcover has illustrated paper boards. Carefully stored, shows little wear and square corners. Interior is tight, clean and unmarked, no ownership marks anywhere. Pages lightly tanning. A little too much shelf-wear to be Fine (As New). Copyrights 1939 & 1936. Printed in U.S.A. No Edition/print-run info found. Whitman catalog 522. No ISBN, LCCN nor MSR.
