Murray" (Ginette Waddell was the only child of Samual John Waddell [aka Rutherford Mayne, hims…elf the older brother of Helen Waddell] a playwright and actor working at both the Ulster Literary Theatre and the Abbey Theatre; and Josephine Campbell, fellow foundress of the Ulster Literary Theatre. Ginette Waddell acted in the original Abbey Theatre production of 'The Pipe in the Fields'). 8vo. 89pp. Cloth-backed paper-covered boards with a printed spine label (and a spare tipped in at the rear). Edges lightly spotted, and with a touch of further spotting to three or four preliminary leaves, and to occasional margins. A very good copy. No dust wrapper, possibly as issued. The first printing of Thomas Cornelius Murray's play 'The Pipe in the Fields', and a new revised text of his play 'Birthright' (which was originally published in the Abbey Theatre series in 1911).
