There are twelve specially commissioned photographs tipped in. There is a map of the Pilgrims way to the front endpapers. There is a small neat signatue to the reverse of the f.e.p. The unclipped dust wrapper is in remarkably fine condition despite its almost ninety years, it has now been covered in clear removable, protective film. International postal rates are calculated on a book weighing 1 Kilo, in cases where the book weighs less then postage will be reduced accordingly. Where the book weighs more than 1 Kilo increased charges will be quoted. The Pilgrim's Way, a typically English road, far older than pilgrimage, has attracted several writers, but this book has a distinctive character. The author, who is well versed in the literature of his subject, occupied many weeks in a leisurely walk along the 120 miles of the road from Winchester to Canterbury, living almost exclusively in its atmosphere and spending one night only under a roof. In proseand verse he tells of the fascination of The Way: its ancient relics its traditions and history and the ever-varying scenery of its course. Ref XX5.
