Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. PICASSO BY WILHELM BOECK & JAIME SABARTES 1955 HUGE HARD COVER. From the flap of the dust jacket: In recognition of the unique character of this monograph Picasso himself collaborated in the production. He checked the 40 full-color plates for fidelity to his work. He was so taken with the so-called Classified Catalogue in which hundreds of his works are illustrated according to type and period that he spent many hours re-arranging and extending the coverage. He selected the painting which is reproduced on the jacket. And finally and this will surely make the volume a collector s item Picasso exclusively for this purpose made the designs for the covers of the book. I am therefore very pleased to offer: Picasso by Wilhelm Boeck and Jaime Sabartes. This very large hard cover book (8 ½ x 12 x 2 inches 524 pages) was published by Harry N. Abrams of New York dated 1955. There is an array of Picasso s works presented in this book. This book is very well illustrated with over 600 illustrations 44 of which are in color. As noted above, this book is bound in hard covers decorated with a design prepared by Picasso himself (another photo to see). Condition: This book is in very good condition. The dust jacket has some small tears and one chip along the edges. The hard covers are clean & bright and unbumped. Inside the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are clean and bright throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
