Soft cover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 3 Philips' road maps, paper edition, from the Ten-sheet Road Map of England and Wales (3 miles to 1 inch) series - numbers 8 9 and 10. Covering the north east of England: Berwick to Carlisle and Middlesbrough to Lincoln, and the North west of England: The Lake District to Chester. Soft cover with faded green card ends with decorative printed titles to front and over all map on reverse. Each has a small paper paste-down that highlights the map number and the area covered. Published by George Philip & Son, The London Geographical Institute. with the co-operation of the RAC. Undated. Probably circa 1930's. The condition is overall good, with general fading and edge wear to the covers. Number 8 has a few creases to edges, and fading with a little wear to the main folds. Number 9 has more over all fading especially to the folds with a little wear and a couple of larger tears at tension points with the cover. Number 10 has some edge creases, a split along part of the upper fold line and a significant stain through the back cover and the adjoining 4 small sections of the map.

The blue volumes belong to The Royal Automobile Club Official Touring Map of England and Wales; while the beige volumes are The New R.A.C. Official Touring Map of England and Wales in Ten Sections. Folded one measures 4 x 7.75 in , while the map itself is 30 x 36 in.
