Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Edition. 1st edition. 8vo. 585 pages with 11 good black and white illustrations including 2 maps/plans of St Peter's Field. This is a detailed re-examination of the events of the Peterloo Massacre. The author attempts to correct earlier reports of the Peterloo tragedy of 1819. This is a very substantial and well researched account and is typical of the high standards of the Manchester University Press. This is an Ex-Library book but shows very little evidence of this. In original dark blue cloth gilt binding which bears one or two marks. Very Good in Very Good attractive pictorial dust wrapper which is a little rubbed at the extremities. WILL REQUIRE EXTRA POSTAGE OUTSIDE UK.
