Small 8vo, approximately 150 x 90 mm, 6 x 3½ inches. 2 folding engraved plates signed P(eter) P(aul) Bouche, pages: [4], 1-156, bound in contemporary sheep, paper title to spine with ink lettering. The Art of Gunnery has a caption title on page 140; register and pagination are continuous. Binding slightly rubbed and neatly repaired to bottom of spine, date scratched to upper cover, lacks first free endpaper, neat repair to bottom corner of last endpaper which has old ink scribble, 7 leaves have small old worm hole, slightly affecting the odd letter, all text easily understood, small hole affecting 1 corner neatly repaired, 6 pages slightly trimmed at bottom margin, affecting catchwords, all easily understood, occasional small fox spot otherwise a very good copy.
