Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. A detailed photographic reference documenting United Nations and NATO peacekeeping forces deployed to the former Yugoslavia during the 1990s Balkan conflicts. This extensively illustrated volume contains over 6,000 color photographs, covering military vehicles, uniforms, insignia, national contingents, and operational environments across Bosnia, Croatia, and surrounding regions. Sections include country-by-country identification (Germany, France, Brazil, etc.), equipment recognition, and visual documentation of wartime destruction and infrastructure. Designed as a field reference, the guide offers a rare, ground-level visual record of late-20th-century peacekeeping operations. Produced by Field Logistics Support Ltd. and distributed to NATO and UN peacekeeping forces, this publication was not widely available commercially, making surviving copies increasingly sought after by military historians and collectors. Condition is Near Fine: clean pages, tight binding, and bright photographic content. Light wear to covers consistent with handling; no major defects noted. Field Logistics Support Ltd. (FLS) produced specialized materials for military and peacekeeping operations, including photographic reference guides used in the field. Their publications were designed for practical identification and situational awareness rather than mass-market distribution, often resulting in limited print runs. As such, FLS guides like this one have become valuable primary-source documents for studying NATO and United Nations operations in the Balkans during the 1990s.
