While stressing the steamers of the Sacramento and San Joaquin rivers, the author has not overlooked the Colorado River boats and those which plied the various creeks around San Francisco Bay. I am pleased to offer a nice copy of a now vintage book, titled: Paddle-Wheel Days in California, by Jerry MacMullen, illustrated by the Author. This medium-sized hard cover book (7 ¼ x 10 ¼ inches, 157 pages) was published by the Stanford University Press, dated October 1946 and the Fifth Printing. The book is bound in light green cloth with a quarter spine in maroon cloth and a decorative panel on the cover (of a paddle-wheeler) with gilt titles on the spine. It is protected by a colorful, printed paper dust jacket. The book includes twelve pages of vintage b&w photos. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The dust jacket has a bit of edge wear especially at the spine tips. It is, however, generally clean and very presentable and not price-clipped. The hard covers are clean and bright with some faint wear to the spine tips too. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are clean and bright throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight, sound and square. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.…
