Vol II - xx, 552 pp. 4 plates - 2 showing medals and 1 plan & 1 illustration. An account of the British Coldstream Guards spanning almost two centuries from their first formation by General Monck to the 1830's. Blue eps. Bookplate of Sir Robert Gore Booth of Lissadell House, Co. Sligo on feps. Vol I - short tear on half-title page. Rear hinge cracked but binding firm. Vol II - rear hinge cracked but binding firm. Text very clean in both volumes. Both volumes bound in maroon cloth boards with gilt lettering and embellishments on spines. Spines faded. Vol I - front edge of spine split for about 2 inches at top, rear edge of spine split for about 1 inch at top and bottom. Both vols - corners bumped and rubbed. Overall condition VG.
