Not a book but a 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm, "Long Play" (mono, monaural) vinyl record, RCA Victor Red Seal LM-2055, "Jan Peerce in Opera," signed in blue ballpoint to the mostly white front jacket panel "To my friend Joe Cavino" (could also read "Covino" o…r "Canino") -- "with all my Good Wishes / Jan Peerce 1957." Disc is near mint; jacket approaches near-mint but with some discolored patches to reverse. Found in Las Vegas. The tenor from the Lower East Side here performs excerpts from Don Giovanni, Rigoletto, La Forza del Destino, Carmen (with Fritz Reiner conducting the RCA Victor Orchestra), A Masked Ball (Dimitri Mitropoulos conductiing the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra), Lucia di Lammermoor, etc. Reduced from $45.
