Sm. 8vo., First Edition, with 260 photographs, 53 illustrations of badges and 90 illustrations in the text; original series binding of terracotta cloth, upper board and backstrip lettered in maroon, a very good, bright, clean copy in unclipped dustwrapper, the latter lightly age-soiled, with minor loss (affecting lettering) at head and tail of backstrip, and short closed tear on rear panel. Observer 21. Print code 732.455. Well-above average copy of the scarce original edition, albeit in worn wrapper. VERY SCARCE IN DUSTWRAPPER. Marren & Carter, p.158-9.
