. Illustrateur : BOUTET DE MONVEL (Bernard). (illustrator). Dessin à la mine de plomb et fusain, signé du cachet en bas à droite, (1905), 49 x25 cm. Étude d'un nu féminin, joignant ses mains dans une attitude d'invocation.Petits plis, légères piqures et remarques. Bernard Boutet de Monvel (Paris 1881-1949), qui fut l'un des premiers collaborateurs de la célèbre Gazette du Bon Ton, travailla dans chacun de ses dessins une ligne épurée dépourvue de tout détail superflu. Sur l'importance que l'artiste accordait au trait, son commentaire, sur un bon à tirer qu'il retournait à son éditeur, vaut toutes les démonstrations : "Mon coloris ne vous ruinera pas ! mais pour l'amour du ciel, faites moi un trait plus noir". Oeuvre originale.
