They continued until he was nineteen, and stopped as he began to select poems from them for his first collection, 18 Poems, which was published in 1934. Poems from the notebooks also formed the basis of Twenty Five Poems (1936) and contributed to The Map of Love (1939) and Deaths and Entrances (1946).
