Nice book, tight and square with sturdy binding, clean unmarked interior. Covers bright, spine a little faded, mild wear. Large folding map in rear pocket.

First edition (per Binfords & Mort's "First published . . ." statement upon copyright page). Hardcover. No dust jacket (i.e. lacking). Red cloth rubbed; some sunning particularly to spine which has shallow loss at its frayed ends. Text block edges toned. Interior pages are clean. Binding is firm.

Faint dark ring/stain on the front cover, but otherwise clean. Lettering has light wear in some places, but still legible. Plastic/mylar cover is in place of a DJ. Pages are yellowed from age, light staining on the inside of the front and back cover, but otherwise are clean. Edges are lightly foxed. No number line. Copyright date is 1940. 315 pages.
