Der Verleger schreibt in seinem kurzen Vorwort, daß man seit 150 Jahren "keine eigendliche Nachricht" habe, "massen die Spanier keinem Ausländer dahin zu reisen mit willen verstatten; selbst aber auch nichts davon ans Tage-Licht bringen".
