This manual was intended to serve as an inflight manual for navigator personnel. It contains preflight, operations, and inflight maintenance procedures for airborne navigational equipment in step-by-step outline form. Reference tables, graphs, and brief reviews of specialized techniques are also included. The basic theory of navigation principles and their application in general are covered in Volumes I and II (not present). Thus Volume III stands alone as the inflight reference. This represents the state of knowedge and the state of practice during an intense period of the cold war and also at the period when the Vietnam War was beginning to escalate.
