FIRST BOOK EDITION AND FIRST AMERICAN COPYRIGHT EDITION. 1 vol., 8" x 5-3/8", (iv)pp., stapled, original green printed yellow wrappers, no previous ownership markings or bookplate, a NEAR FINE copy. This appeared a few weeks prior to the American copyright edition in a British newspaper.

Octavo, original cream yellow glazed paper wrappers printed green, light wear, bookplate of Nicholas Frederic Brady on verso of front wrapper has caused slight pucker to wrapper, morocco gilt booklabel of bookseller slightly offset onto title, else very nice and preserved in crimson quarter morocco gilt slipcase with inner wraps. This appeared a few weeks prior to the American copyright edition in a British newspaper. Stewart 454; Livingston 423. First book edition and first American Copyright edition.
