Boothroyd is a a writer with a very strong humouristic touch to motor racing and his personal experience. This second edition provides a new long introduction , reflecting on the fresh hazards and humiliations of the motorist's life since this book was first published six years prior. The 87 page hardback includes many black and white illustrations by Brockbank and is in very good condition despite its' age however it's paper jacket is beginning to show some signs of wear with a small repair at the top edge of the front cover, with slight shelf ware and small discolouration on the back.
