Add to basketSoft cover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition, Special Edition. Morphological Analysis of Land Forms; A Contribution to Physical Geology, By Prof. Dr. Walther Penck. Translated by Hella Czech, Ph.D. (Vienna), and Katharine Cumming Boswell, B.A., M.Sc., (London). Published by Macmillan and Co., Limited, London. 1953. This would appear… to be a unique printer's file copy - the handwritten notes to the cover state that the blocks to be destroyed, which they did on 11th October 1956. The notes on the free endpaper also states that there were 2145 copies (and also that were 2158 copies + 12 advance). The printer was Robert Maclehose of Glasgow. A good copy of this book, bound in plain printer's wraps. The covers are worn and frayed, but overall everything is still soundly bound. Handwritten title to spine. Text is clean and bright with some wear to extremities. This is a printer's file copy, so the plates are all near the front of the book, some upside down as per their running sheets. Some pages are still uncut. With rough text block edges. An interesting anomaly of a book. Text in English. xiv + 12pp Plates + 429pp. All plates present as called for. Weight approximately 794g (unpacked). Dimensions: Approximately 232mm high x 155mm wide x 38mm deep.
