In addition to creating Desert Island Discs, Roy Plomley was also a playwright. He wrote sixteen plays, of which this was an early one. Moonlight Behind You is a play in three ac…ts and takes place in a basement flat in London's Earl's Court. It starts in 1954 and each act goes back by a decade (1944 and 1934 respectively). This second draft has Roy Plpomley's typed name and address (Deodar Road, SW15) to the title page, and handwritten edits throughout. Most of these are the change of one character's names but also a few edits to the script. There is also a hand-drawn stage plan. It is unknown whether these edits are in Plomley's hand or someone else's. Condition: The folder is rather grubby. The loose leaves are a little creased to the edges but the play is complete and remains readable. A curious item.
