28.0 x 17.0cms 76pp sepia toned illusts very good hardback & dustwrapper Flint wrote the text and used an anonymous illustrator to draw red-chalk figures of naked and clothed women in the 18th century manner.

Satire, sly wit and paintings of naked women combine in this interesting book. 75pp. Salmon coloured cloth has gilt lettering on front and spine. Spine ends are bumped. Pages are age-discoloured and there is a small mark on page edges. Tight. No inscriptions. Green dust jacket is bumped and cracked along edges with small absence at top of spine. It has been covered.

Two large closed tears to either side of of upper rear panel with creasing between; two short closed tears as well. Some dust soil to rear panel.

First Edition of the Artist's celebrated work with a Signed letter from him, on His Headed Notepaper, in response to a congratulatory letter sent to him on his Knighthood and dated June 1947. The letter is in a cellophane wrapper which has been cellotaped to the reverse of the half title page. VG+/VG (book- no other previous owner name or inscription to book. Light offset browning to end-papers. No other notable faults. Dust Jacket- price clipped, a little rubbed with chips at extremities and some modest shelf soiling to rear panel.
